foam granulator

To ensure that the foam granulator works properly and produces the right kind of recycled pellets, there are a few things that need to be taken care of. Below are the important steps in the operating procedures of an EPS granulator.

EPS granulator

Control of temperature and moisture content

The material in the foam granulator should be maintained at an optimum temperature in the range of 50 to 80°C. The moisture content should preferably be maintained between 2.5% and 7.5% to ensure suitable granulation conditions.

During the normal operation of the plastic foam pelletizer, the temperature of the machine should be kept stable, avoiding sudden high and low temperatures. The head part near the vent hole should be maintained at about 200°C.

Preparation of foam granulator before starting

Before starting the foam granulator, first, carry out about 30 minutes to warm up the temperature to the required level. Subsequently, the motor delta belt is pulled manually to ensure the normal working rotation. Then the heating is continued to meet the temperature of plastic granulation of different natures.

Plastic foam granulator cleaning

When the EPS granulator stops, be sure to completely cut off the power supply to ensure safety. Plastic foam pelletizer head screw plug (with wrench part) must be taken off at the time of shutdown, waiting for the next time before use to warm up separately.
